About

Hi. I'm Lionel.

I started Digital Serpents because I wanted it to exist.

01Why this

A few years ago I tried to sort out a website for a small business. I used Wix. Then I tried Squarespace. Then I got a quote from an agency — $5,000 — and abandoned the whole idea.

The tools were fine. The agencies were good. Neither was built for someone who just needed a professional site, at a price that made sense, without becoming a weekend web developer or remortgaging.

I looked around for the thing I actually wanted — monthly fee, someone competent handling the whole thing, no setup invoice, no lock-in — and couldn't find it. So I built it.

That's the whole premise. Digital Serpents is the service I wanted to exist when I was that small business owner. Everything about the product comes back to that starting point.

02Who's here

Right now, Digital Serpents is me and a small crew of freelance designers I've worked with long enough to trust with your brief. When we get bigger, the "crew" becomes "the team" and I'll update this page accordingly.

Meanwhile, when you email us, you're emailing me. When a designer sends you your mockup, that's a real person, not a pipeline. Small is a feature at this stage, not a caveat.

03Where we work from

Digital Serpents is operated by Infinity Curve LLC, registered at 76 Vazha-Pshavela Ave, Tbilisi, Georgia. That's where the legal entity sits, the books are kept, and most of the team is based.

We serve customers across four continents. The sites we build run on a global edge network, so your customers get fast load times whether they're in your city or the other side of the world. Customer data at rest is stored in the European Union.

Tbilisi's a good place to build a small company. It's also not a credential — our accountability to you is in the commitments we've made in writing, not in our location.

04What we're not

What we're not.

05Where we're headed

The short version: a world where a plumber in Benoni and a café owner in Batumi have the same quality of web presence as any global brand, without needing to learn web design or part with months of revenue.

That's the mission, minus the poster-quote formatting.

To get there, we're growing the team slowly, expanding to a handful more countries each year, and refusing to cut corners on the core product — the human who designs your site, the infrastructure that runs it, and the team that replies when you write in.

If you're along for the ride, thank you. If you're evaluating us from the outside, take your time; the door's open.

Thanks for reading this far.
